On January 15-18, the members of the Colorectal Team Overseas (CTO) of the world-known American professor – Dr. Marc Levitt, Connie Mantel and Kelci Campbell conducted a training session for the nursing department of American Hospital Tbilisi, within the framework of training sessions, the nurses were introduced to the rules of surgical and postsurgical care of the patients with Anorectal Malformations and Hirschsprung’s Diseases.
Practical educational session on surgical and post-surgical care conducted for both nurses and patient family members who underwent colorectal surgeries by Prof. Dr. Marc Levitt and his team (CTO) together with Georgian colleagues at the American Hospital Tbilisi.
“It’s a primary goal for our hospital to implement international practices in nursing services. I am delightful that the mentioned visit also initiated the interest of the nursing departments of different hospitals in Tbilisi. Our hospital is planning more robust similar activities for the nearest future.” noted Ia Gelenidze, Chief Nursing Officer of AHT.
On January 15-18, the famous American Prof. Dr. Marc Levitt visited American Hospital Tbilisi with his team of famous surgeons, nurses and volunteers from the USA, Germany, Israel, Great Britain, and the Netherlands. His visit was planned as part of the collaboration between AHT and Children’s National Hospital. #AHTbilisi
