Emergency pediatric care

We offer treatment for any emergency medical condition as our ER department works 24/7. Also, if necessary, the child can continue inpatient treatment in the pediatric ward.

We manage both pediatric and surgical problems that need urgent care: high fever, allergic reactions, severe abdominal pain, convulsions, trauma and more.

General Pediatrics

Who is a pediatrician?

• A pediatrician is a doctor who examines newborns, children, and adolescents between the ages of one and eighteen.

A pediatrician’s role includes assessing the kid’s growth, behavior, and skill development. Infant health

That is why, if this is a child’s first visit to AHT, we schedule an hour-long consultation for each child under the age of one. Pediatric Nephrology

Pediatric nephrology is a field of medicine that treats pediatric kidneys and urinary tract. Diseases of these organs may be related to congenital conditions – abnormalities of the kidneys and urinary tract, as well as acquired – urinary tract infections, inflammation of the kidneys, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, kidney stone disease, enuresis and others.

We provide a kidney biopsy procedure at our hospital, which is the gold standard of diagnosis for some diseases. As for kidney stones, this is a rare but very important part of pediatric nephrology. Children with chronic kidney disorder and kidney failure will receive full medical care at American Hospital Tbilisi, and if necessary, children will be trained in kidney replacement therapy, including dialysis or kidney transplantation.

Pediatric Endocrinology

Endocrinology studies the structure and function of the endocrine glands, as well as diseases caused by their dysfunction. Pediatric Cardiology

The Pediatric Arrhythmia Center of the AHT Pediatric Department performs all types of diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders: Holter EKG, ephor test, vent recorder, intermediate signal EKG, tilt table, transthoracic echocardiographic studies, Interventional procedures of fluoroscopic ablation with triple system, cryoablation (freezing method), implantation of permanent pacemaker and defibrillator (ICD) and further monitoring.
