AHT proudly hosted the 62nd International Bariatric Club (IBC) Oxford Symposium, the 31st IBC Europe Symposium, and the 4th Annual Georgian Summit of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
The international summit featured a series of lectures, presentations, live surgeries, and specialized training sessions held at both American Hospital Tbilisi and Grigol Robakidze University (GRUNI). Esteemed specialists from Georgia and around the world delivered insightful lectures and reports, sharing their expertise in the field of metabolic and bariatric surgery.
A key highlight of the summit was a live surgery conducted by Dr. Koba Sakhechidze, Head of the AHT Bariatric Surgery Department, Academic Medicine Doctor, and experienced surgeon.

Following the surgery, Dr. Sakhechidze facilitated a debate to engage participants in a productive discussion on current practices and advancements in the field.

Participants of the summit were awarded 9 continuing medical education (CME) credit points, and certificates, along with symbolic gifts, were presented to all attendees.
This significant event was made possible by the generous sponsorship of American Hospital Tbilisi, Grigol Robakidze University, Medical XHY, the International Bariatric Club (IBC) and Medea International Medical Association (MIMA).
