Marketing & Business Development Department

American Hospital Tbilisi (AHT) is looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking Marketing & Business Development Director who will manage and coordinate the marketing, strategic communication, and business development for all hospital promotional activities, ensuring that they are aligned with the hospital’s overall strategic plan and direction.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategy, based on sound business fundamentals, trends in healthcare industry, regulatory and legal environment, competitive environment and customer needs and expectations
  • Research, develop, and implement a core brand identity and effectively communicate key massages intended for both internal and external audiences
  • Assess the regional healthcare landscape to find opportunities for new services, innovative approaches, and opportunities for market expansion
  • Conduct research designed to evaluate the hospital’s market position and effectiveness of marketing efforts
  • Monitor utilization of services and physician access and recommend strategic changes to help build volumes
  • Collaborate with hospital departments and staff to implement programs and initiatives that increase volumes or market share, or that position the hospital for future success; monitor the success of initiatives
  • Execute the strategic communication and public relations plan to advance the mission of the AHT; specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, meeting with community and media representatives, designing internal and external communications consistent with the brand, providing graphic services as needed to produce marketing and communications for physician and hospital awareness
  • Oversee the development of and updates to all advertising and printed materials throughout the hospital to protect the health system brand internally and externally
  • Make sure that the Organization’s philosophy, mission, and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization
  • Responsible for leading and overall department effectiveness; coordinate the Strategic Communications, International Patient Services, Patients’ Rights & Patients Relations and Call Centre Operations
  • Build and develop Marketing and Business Development team that is competent, astute, dedicated, and effective; plan, assign, direct, and monitor the work of subordinate staff; analyze and distribute projects, assignments and workloads; evaluate  employee performance; respond to employee grievances and complaints; initiate and coordinate staff selection, staff education and continues training processes; ensure that staff activities comply with organizational expectations

 

Qualifications:

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field closely related to the principal accountabilities of the position
  • 7 years of professional experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, Business Development and/or Healthcare management. Working experience in hospital field is preferable
  • At least 3 years’ of supervisory experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, Business Development and/or Healthcare management.
