Job Summary:
American Hospital Tbilisi (AHT) is seeking a highly skilled, experienced Head of Supply Chain, who will provide purchase of materials, supplies, and services, with the objective that they will be available at the proper time, in the proper place, in quantity, quality and price consistent with the needs of the Hospital. Head of Supply Chain will be accountable for the functions of Supply Chain Management, including Product, Material and Equipment Contracting; Global Procurement; Order Management; Logistics; Warehousing & Distribution; Revenue Management; Process Management; Inventory Management; and Supply Chain Management Information Technology.
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the AHT Supply Formulary, contracting, procurement and warehouse operations and activities; monitor, review and evaluate assigned functions and activities to ensure that they conform to AHT goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; provide proactive Supply Chain services to AHT departments in order to develop cost-effective solutions to Supply Chain challenges and opportunities;
* Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring hospital’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity;
* Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control a wide range of operations and activities pertaining to contracting, procurement, warehousing and distribution functions at AHT;
* Coordinate and collaborate with channel partners, which can be suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers;
* Develop, implement and administer the AHT Supply Chain Management Process, communicate and coordinate with designated and approved AHT Vendors as needed to maintain cooperative relationships;
* Manage and direct the solicitation of bids and proposals; direct and participate in the preparation of specifications for bid packages; analyze bid/proposal responses; negotiate and develop favorable agreements and contract terms and secure discounts where possible;
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of vendors to ensure that all parties are complying with contractual terms; maintain cooperative and positive relationships with sources of supply such as contractors, vendors and sales staff in order to stay informed regarding price trends, availability of supplies, new items, and product reliability;
* Plan, assign, direct, and monitor the work of subordinate staff; analyze and distribute projects, assignments and workloads; evaluate employee performance; respond to employee grievances and complaints; initiate and coordinate staff selection and training processes; ensure that staff activities comply with organizational expectations;
* Provide senior management oversight of day-to-day Supply Chain and warehouse functions; oversee and develop systems and processes to maximize information security, safety, environmental hazard control, financial accountability, and other related areas.
Qualifications:
Education and experience
* Bachelor’s degree
* Minimum 5 years of working experience in Supply Chain Management
* At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience
