Job Summary:
American Hospital Tbilisi (AHT) is looking for a competent Patient Administration Manager who will manage the process of accurate and timeous hospital admissions, billing, and collection procedures patients are adhered to; promoting exceptional patient experiences by demonstrating high quality and professional level of service at all times.
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Monitor and carry out standards regarding customer service, quality registrations, financial clearance, financial counseling, and employee performance; oversee the responsibilities related to the daily workflow of the Patient Administration Unit;
* Ensure processes are established and followed concerning financial clearance with third-party payers to minimize loss of revenues;
* Responsible for the oversight of the quality of all registrations by establishing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance process;
* Register and pre-register patients as necessary to support the team; deliver guidance and feedback of errors to staff;
* Remain abreast of payer requirements as it relates to authorizations, medical necessity, and eligibility;
* Develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Hospitals Health system;
* Control the process of collection of patient identification information, demographics, information about payers; control electronic medical records (outpatient or inpatient);
* Identify the payer source and add payer to the case; collect all information in the System about the insurance carries;
* Control information about the patient admission and diagnosis to the Government Portal, according to rules defined by the N36 Regulation;
* Control cash collection and assure correct administration of the information in the Hospital Information Systems;
* Plan, assign, direct, and monitor the work of subordinate staff; analyze and distribute projects, assignments, and workloads; evaluate employee performance; respond to employee grievances and complaints; initiate and coordinate staff selection and training processes; ensure that staff activities comply with organizational expectations;
* Develop strong relationships with physicians and staff to ensure the consistency of client experience throughout the continuum of care;
* Represent department and organization in a positive and professional manner; serve as a role model in actions and behavior; show composure and professionalism under pressure when working with challenging situations and behaviors.
Qualifications:
Education and experience
* Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Psychology
* Minimum 3 years of patient registration and administration experience
* At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience
* Effective communications, negotiations, and conflict resolutions skills
* Analytical skills
