Summary:
American Hospital Tbilisi (AHT) is looking for a Facility Manager who will ensure security,
maintenance and services of work facilities meet the needs of the hospital and
its employees, providing management and coordination of the construction, renovation
and ongoing maintenance of the building of the hospital. Responsibilities
include the regular inspection of facility for repair, maintenance, and safety
purposes, planning of work, and estimation of material costs and man hours
required.
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supervise all activities related to occupancy, construction, relocation, and renovation of the company’s building and other designated facilities;
* Assign personnel, material resources and supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment;
* Supervise work of contractors in connection with the construction, maintenance, and improvement of building and building facilities;
* Conduct and document periodic inspections of building, evaluate the complexity of any needed repairs to determine the best solution, projects job cost, and oversee the implementation of approved procedures to ensure the ongoing efficient operation of the building;
* Maintain ongoing relationships with all department units to keep abreast of their service needs and to be able to anticipate problems before they become crisis situations;
* Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency; coordinate intra-office moves; oversee facility refurbishment and renovations;
* Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels; ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff;
* Supervise and train staff in the approved practices and procedures for proper facility maintenance and in the implementation and observance of all approved safety procedures to ensure compliance with existing health and safety regulations and standards;
* Prepare and track facility budget, monitor expenses, and payments; implement best practice processes to increase efficiency;
* Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases;
* Oversee environmental health and safety; respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
Qualifications:
Education and experience
* Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, building construction, architecture or related discipline
* Minimum 4 years of professional experience in facility management
* At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience
