#AHT: Epilepsy Awareness Days in American Hospital Tbilisi

Epilepsy Awareness Days continue at American Hospital Tbilisi (AHT)!

On February 10th, we marked Epilepsy Awareness Day with an insightful and impactful meeting with AHT team, organized by our Epilepsy and Sleep Disorders Department and the Neurology/Neurosurgery Nursing Department.

The session focused on raising awareness about the challenges and common stigmas surrounding epilepsy. Prof. Dr. Nino Gzirishvili, Head of our Epilepsy and Sleep Disorders Unit, delivered a comprehensive presentation, blending general knowledge with real-life case studies from our AHT EEG lab.

In addition, our amazing team member, Maka Guliashvili, Manager of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Nursing Department, demonstrated essential first aid techniques for handling epileptic seizures.

The event was a great success, with many patients and staff joining to learn and engage. Together, we continue to promote understanding and support for those living with epilepsy!
